Penn L. Caine
Associate Attorney
Penn L. Caine attended University of Redlands where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Penn went on to attend Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California and subsequently transferred to University of San Diego School of Law, where he earned his law degree cum laude.
Prior to and while attending law school, Penn worked in legal support roles, primarily as a paralegal. During this time, he gained experience providing support to attorneys practicing in workers’ compensation, real estate, insurance defense, and creditors’ rights. As a paralegal, Penn worked for a publicly traded financial services company where he was responsible for coordinating multiple groups to prepare responses to discovery requests for litigation matters in 19 states and he built and maintained a searchable database to aid with preparation of discovery responses. Penn’s experience in the legal support arena gave him insight into the practice of law and solidified his desire to become an attorney.
While in law school, Penn was a Torts course learning assistant for first year law students, assisting them with understanding substantive legal theories and related case studies. As a law student, Penn excelled, and he received seven CALI Excellence for the Future awards in subjects including Torts, Contracts, Professional Responsibility, and Trademark Law.
